Default Slow Cabin Heater / Seatbelt light

Anyone else had problems with the cabin heater?
Mine takes a good 10 mins to alter temperature!

Also, I've had the drivers seatbelt changed but now have the red seatbelt/airbag dash light lit. Any clues on how to reset?

Is the engine getting up to temperature quickly, ie. within 2 miles of setting off?

If not I would recommend changing the engine coolant thermostat. Costs under £10 and made a big difference to how soon my engine and hence the heater got up to temperature.

Thanks for the reply.
The engine heats up fine. The cabin heater also gets up to the desired setting quick enough but should I then decide that it's too hot/cold & I adjust the knob, it then takes a good 10 mins to change & continues in this way each time I alter the temp.

can you hear a clicking sound behind the dashboard? if so, the cogs on the control motor have worn.
