Default S60 2005 "54" D5 Chugging on Tickover

My S60 has been chugging on tickover for sometime now and I can't work out what it is. I've had the Codes Read and its comes back with Low Fuel Pressure. (I have changed the Fuel Filter twice in the last year, and only ever use shell or BP fuel)

When its cold in the morning it starts fine, and returns good MPG on a recent run of 200 miles it claimed 54mpg at a steady 80-85ish.

Anyone had this issue or can shed any light on what it may be.

Am i right in thinking that it being an "54" I am past the injector issues?

its done just over 100k now. and this issue has been there for the last 8-10k.

Thanks

So, they still do have issues even the later models.

the rev's fluctuate sightly on the rev counter when driving at a constant speed.

Should the injector be obvious on a leak off test?

looking at the leak of test that i have posted you can see that there is nothing alarming. lets say for arguments sake that injector 5 the farthest left was at 10mil that injector would need replacing.hope that helps

and will an injector fault always show up on a leak off test?

Basically what im saying is if, the leak test comes back fine. My injectors are sound, and its something elese.

what it will show is how much is leaking back from that injector so if it is way more than the others the answer is yes, i understand that you do not want to pay for an injector or injectors if you are not happy with the leak off test, the garage will tell you if you need a new injector.the next step if the injector are fine would be the pressure sensor or the fuel pump, the injector test is the cheaper option at the moment. you did say in your first post that the codes had been read and was showing low fuel pressure what was the code stored.

It was injector number 5, came back a little high on a leak off test. Changed and runs sweet again. Charged £222.00 for the delight.
