s60 handbrake can it be ajusted !

hi there, does anyone know if the rear brake shoes are ajustable on my s60 auto , not had the car long & noticed bit of travel on handbrake lever . discs on the rears but i think they have small shoes for handbrake

if you pop the handrbrake leather gaitor off youll see a 10mm nut on a threaded bar....
hanbrake off then tighten the nut. put handrake on to check adjustments...

Do not know about the S60 but on my V70 there is adjustment of the shoes via a hole in the disc. Take wheel off and use screwdriver in hole to turn toothed wheel.

no adjustment at shoes. no toothed wheel with the s60 bud, just like an expanding leg thatll push the shoes out

you can fit the adjusters as a mod if you so wish.

There you are then one lives and learns. Yet another reason to not get a newer volvo. I seriously looked at a newer V70 till I found what they did to the gallon compared to my phase 1, not loosing nearly 12 mpg for a newer reg plate.
