Default Help with Vacuum System

Could someone confirm(or not) that I have the components in the above pic labelled correctly.

1. Vacuum Pump
2. Brake Servo
3. Turbo Boost Control Valve(red arrow to turbo actuator, blue arrow to atmosphere)
4. Vacuum Assisted Engine Mounts(VAEM)
5. Control Solenoid for VAEM
6. RPM Sensor
7. Engine Control Module(ECU)
8. Brake Control Module(ECU)

Thanks in advance for helping with the correct names/terms.

Yes.

I've been checking the system on our XC90(163bhp) as there were a few minor leaks. Cured them by just trimming the split ends from the pipes. Will be replacing the Turbo Boost Control Valve and MAP Sensor later this week if the parts turn up in time. Want to be sure my 500 mile round trip to Newquay this week end has plenty of Boooooooooost ... lol

No, or at least not that I'm aware of.

After purchasing the car I decided to give it a good service, replacing as many parts as I feel need to be myself before it goes into Volvo in January for it regular service. Hope fully saving myself a few £ in the process. I scanned through the service history to see which parts had been replaced and which hadn't. The Boost Valve and MAP Sensor have never been replaced as far as I can tell, so rather than wait until I'm a few hundred miles away form home when they fail I decided to replace them now, "Prevention is Better than Cure" as the saying goes.

I've installed the new parts and didn't notice any difference until the rpm went above 3,500

Seems to have a more power higher in the rev range than before?

And the MAP Sensor part number has changed due to an update, from 8677288 to 31355464.

What kinda spondoodles are we talking about?

Wondering if the cost justifies the outcome.

By the way, there's a whole section in VIDA just for testing bits n bobs. Gives the expected outcome and parameters for things like sensors etc. Might well save you a few bob.

Both parts £215 including delivery.

Justified? Probably not but that's not why I did it. For me its peace of mind, reliability is everything for me right now with the miles I'm doing. Don't mind breaking down a few miles away from home but don't want to be 200 or 300 miles away when it happens.

I'm seriously thinking about buying a cheap(ebay) version of VIDA, the more I hear about it the better it sounds.

The wife has just been out in the car, 40 mile round trip to her friends house.

She came in, sat down and said: "what have you done to the car, it feels better".

I asked what she ment by "better".

Her reply: "no idea, just nicer to drive".

May be it took a few miles for it to get use to its new parts because she's right, "it does feel better" ...
