Good afternoon Derek
My recently purchased 122s also has no working green instrument illumination.
It is obvious where the appropriate wire is attached to the light switch since this leads to working instrument illumination on some non factory instruments.
Looking at the back of the speedo there are two bulbs ( one left, one right) higher up than the oil light/ indicator light/ ign. light level.
The bulbs are clear ( ie. not green) and work when removed and tested.
Are these the bulbs that SHOULD light up the factory instruments in green?
Would you be kind enough to email me a copy of your coloured wiring diagram?
Many thanks

Unfortunately, my main PC managed to get itself blown up by a powercut or power surge while I was in hospital. Not yet fixed. Currently using a 12 year old laptop. Ron at SW-EM may be able to help, or you could check out diagrams on this page.

Green tint is made with green plastic bulb covers from memory.

Derek; So now I know why I missed you...you were in hospital...I hope you are on the mend! ...and thanks as always for the reference!

David; Lamps for Instrumentation Illumination are standard and I agree with Derek, they get a little green filter to tint the lighting. Two Inst Lighting circuits are present, both are by way of Fuse 4, and the variable circuit is often intermittent due to a poor wiper contact due to resistance wire surface corrosion in the rheostat.

Good Hunting!
