940 SE Turbo For Sale - Scotland

For (reluctant!) Sale

Volvo 940 SE 2.0 Turbo Saloon. 1992 J reg. Gold Metallic, Black Leather. 4 Speed + Overdrive. Electric front windows & mirrors. Approx 130k miles (Volvo documented new speedo at 117k). Loads of History - including Original Purchase Invoice and mileage book recording the expenses (even petrol!) spent on the car by the 1 Previous (Retired Accountant) Owner. Garaged from new, until I took possession in February last year.

Modifications to standard spec:
Manual Sunroof
No alloys (Original Volvo Wheel Trims) as requested by previous owner
External LCD Temp Gauge
No radio (original owner requested dealer removed) Does have aerial & all wiring on place – just needs the radio!
Original Volvo Guard Alarm
Smoked plastic Air Deflectors on front windows

Within my year of ownership, I have replaced HT Leads/Distributor Cap/Rotor Arm, as well as fitting new water pump, rocker cover gasket and FULL NEW VOLVO Clutch in December 08! Also had Brake Fluid and coolant flush/change. Paperwork shows various parts replaced – including steering rack & mass airflow.

MOTd until January 2010, Tax end June 2009. Everything works except for Drivers Heated Seat. Decent tyres. Timing belt changed less than 10k miles ago.

But..Bad Points...: Bodywork has a few scrapes & dents (rear wheelarches/bumpers/etc) where elderly previous owner had mishap(s) with his narrow drive gates. There is a wee drop rust at bottom of drivers door, but car is solid and interior is in great condition - even the steering wheel is still rough (ie not worn smooth). I’m quite sure with a bit of tidying (or not, as the case may be), it could last for a while yet.

Looking for £550. Set of Omega alloys available by separate negotiation.

Could be viewed Glasgow/Ayr

Don't want to deflate you but I just paid £325 for an immaculate 1994 940 SE Auto Estate with aircon, sunroof, FVSH the lot.
Saloons tend to not be worth the same as estate versions
