Leaded or Unleaded for P1800 ES
Fist of all I would like to hello to everyone as I am a new member and own a recently purchased P1800 ES. Can the engine of this vehicle run on unleaded without additives suggestions please?
Thanks Nigel |

I ran my Amazon 131 back in the late 90s on unleaded with no valve seat problems. The area which will eventually wear is the valve seat guides. I covered over 50,000 miles with just a slight sign of wear towards the end. You can run without - otherwise Castrol Valvemaster added each time you fuel. or you could fit a Flashlube kit which supplies upper cylinder lubricant continually to the engine. Just a case of remembering to top up occasionally (this is what I use for lpg converted cars).
