Default Fibreglass wings vs Steel Wings

Does anyone have some experience of fibre glass wings that are available for Amazons?

Smith deakin do glass fibre reinforced wings for amazons, also front panel. The wings are about 85 quid . Never used them myself but it looks like a fairly large and well established operation . delivery seems ok price as well. I'd imagine there is a fair amount of fettling required with plastic or fibreglass wings, you may have to cut out the holes for the head lights and indicators.

I bought a front wing from smith and deakin and was impressed with service and quality.Had it fitted by a chap in Dundee and had the car at the show at Errol where it received favourable comments from other people I met there. The wing was not in stock
but made to order,Ithink, since there was a short delay before delivery.

I can confirm the above, put a glass fibre wing on my '71 144. It did indeed need the hole cutting for the indicator, also the mounting point holes drilling and lastly excess plastic trimming off the edges. It fits and looks a peach.

Hi Swedishandgerman, I have 3 fibreglass 120 wings, can't remember if two right and one left or vice versa. Give me a reasonable price and pay for postage and you can have. They have not been on a vehicle. You will need to cut out holes for headlamps and indicators. I have two new steel wings for my 120 so will not use them. Let me know what you think. The other forum member reports seem to suggest that the wings will do the job.
Cheers
Bob
