Out of interest I just ran the diagnostics on my app - also says yes to preconditioning - but I drive a D4 without aux heater.

About as useful as the start up screen between the dials that says all the things I don’t have are working perfectly..

Could you check the inside of your fuel filler cap to see if you've got the aux heater sign on it, to confirm you have the option?

Also, how much fuel have you got right now? When the fuel is low, aux heater won't work.

I am not seeing anything on the fuel filler cap unless I am looking at the wrong place which is quite possible! I did look under the hood for the sign but no joy there either. I have 3/4 fuel in the tank so plenty in there. I believe it has the Preconditioning given the option on Sensus and the error code "Parking Climate Temporarily unavailable" on Volvo's website means - "Parking climate control is temporarily disengaged. If the problem persists for some time, contact a workshop to check the function."

I don't see the heater sign on the sticker, so that tells me there's no aux heater. Worth double checking with dealer though.

My understanding is that you can still use this feature to 'cool' the car if the outside temperature is hot, the ventilation system does this by blowing in air from outside the car... However, without the Aux Heater it will not 'heat' the car.

When the car is covered in frost I pre-heat the car for 5 - 10 minutes by using remote start. In Sensus you can set things like the heated rear screen, heated seats, etc., to come on with 'start'.

After all that! I have booked with Dealer Wednesday next week as VIN will not tell them if it has gotten Parking Climate! Let's see...
