Collected the two “Helper Springs” from my dealer today. Packaged in Volvo plastic bags. Volvo label quotes, amongst other details, “Made in Germany”.
The rubbers each have the word FORD moulded into them.
They have a 15 mms diameter hole centrally down their entire length so it would appear that they simply push onto a rod on that upper section. No idea what it is called. They do not appear to be the same as shown in the video. Will update once I’ve had a go.

Edit. Having watched that video again it appears that the top of the rubber pushes inside the lower end of the top mount which I think has a part no. 31406356. I’ll try to look up that number.

My bump stops were an "advisory" in 2019 - as being very worn. When the car was serviced this year (done annually), I said they had better be renewed. The garage said it was a very labour intensive job (expensive), and I shouldn't bother. I don't carry heavy loads - but probably should get them renewed at some stage. It didn't cause a problem with the MOT and was not an advisory this year!
