V cam
Volvo offered the V cam together with other bits as an upgrade package for turbo cars. But the V cam came in na B230e. Who is right then?

Later 240 rally cars i believe used the B230FT and if Volvo are offering the V cam as a performance upgrade for turbo cars, i think that's the obvious answer!

As Classic Swede said, don't over cam the engine with a small turbo.
A 15G turbo with the standard T or an A cam will make more torque than a 15G with an IPD cam. The IPD cam works well with a T3 or 19T. Don't underestimate the need to get a chippable EZK to use a good chip set as the standard ignition timing is too sharp at 4000rpm with anything more than 15psi on a smaller frame turbo, you will make power but be det prone. A bit more injector too. Getting 250hp and good torque is easy but you still need everything to work together or you will get average results at best. |
