tow bar swap

My v70 (2001) has just died, ive been looking at other volvos , some without a tow bar, just to save a few quid would the tow bar fit another type of volvo, s40 v60 etc

If it's the Ph1 V70 it will fit 850 & S/V/C70

Ph2 V70 will fit S60, not sure about S80 but I think the chassis is wider so wouldn't fit.

Won't fit any of the Forvo breeds

It'll fit a post-facelift V70 (2005 - 2007) but it would need a trailer module rather than just plugging into the loom. Don't think it'll fit any other model in a different series and it also won't fit a P2 XC70 either as the ride height and bumper size are different to V70. Best bet would be to remove it from the current car, sell it on the forum and out the money towards the correct one for the replacement car.
