Default timingof 164

I was given an Autobook manual for 160s when I got my 144. Not sure why, anyway - just had a look and it says the timing of the B30A engine should be 10 deg btdc when idling at 600 to 800 rpm with advance/retard hoses disconnected and plugged up. Plugs recommended are Bosch w200.T.35 gapped at .028 to .032.
Couldn't see any mention of a points gap though.
Hope this helps.

You will need to time it by ear in that case. If the engine was stock then I would say keep to the original timing if you can't hear an engine.

We normaly just adjust timing untill the engine is right rather any set angle.
