Had my 11 plate V60 D5 R Design for about a year now. Its up at 99k miles and developed a judder in the automatic box whenever I put it into drive. I was reliably informed that a gearbox oil change and service would sort this. Put it in for a full service, gearbox oil etc and has came back running great and the problem is far better but still seems to be there.

When it is first turned on it seems fine but then when its been running for example if I go into reverse then back to drive I get this 'judder' as it goes into drive.

Does this indicate a further problem or has the garage just done a crap job at the oil change??

Also- When I stop I get a water leak under the middle of the car. Is this common? Is it from the air con?

Any help appreciated

You need to ask the garage exactly how they changed the transmission fluid, i.e. Sump drain and replace (how many) or flush and how many litres were used and the exact spec of the fluid used.
Also, was the adaption reset and the fluid level set using Vida software and the fluid counter reset?

These are basic questions for anyone who has done this correctly so their answers will be very useful.

your volvo dealer will know all about this , it will need a special adaption routine carried out , failing that , worst case the gearbox will need to come out for a new seal in the front clutch .

No, happens on all the cars I have had with AirCon, believe it's the ice from the heat exchanger melting.

Its just condensation, the cooling effect pulls the moisture (dehumidifying) out the air and it condenses, the car catches this below the evaporator matrix and it runs to drain.

All AC systems do this, car or otherwise.

Your fridge does it to a lesser extent, but the catch tray is above the compressor, so the water boils off.
