Default R-Design Badge Replacement

As you may of noticed all the R-Design badges on the S40/C30's and some other models tend to fade, like mine has. I've been looking at replacements, but for an original Volvo one its stupid money, plus its bound to just fade again in the long term, so was looking at potentially this one on eBay as it looks actually nicer and much better value.

My only concern is how its fitted to the car, the seller states it's a grill badge but I was unsure on fitment, he just said the bracket its on in the picture can just be adjusted, I can't see how you'd secure it onto the car using this? Has anyone replaced theres and if so what did you choose? I'm aware the original Volvo one has a bracket with two screws was thinking of taking it off and pairing this one to the bracket somehow and replacing it.

Grille badge is held on by plastic clip, which usually breaks trying to get it off.
Ebay one has sticky tape. It seems tape may be on black bracket.
I took mine off and repainted it.

I bought one of the cheap badges with the adhisive back. I took the old badge off and prised the face off which is held on with double sided tape then belt sanded the face flat and stuck the new one on. New badge for about £5 and they were good quality and pretty heavy metal pieces!

I bought a genuine Volvo one last year for over £40 and wish I had this option then, brilliant idea.

Couple of things with those. Not sure sticking them on top of existing emblem would work due to raised lettering and the background is grey not silver, but a good alternative otherwise for the price.

I used his website to get a new R design badge. Removed the old sticker, cleaned the surface and stuck the new one on. Been fine for the past 2 months, with rain and car being washed.

I wish I saw those before I ground the face off mine to adhere a new metal logo! The OEM emblem does come off the plastic backing with a little screwdriver. Its just foil and some double sided tape.
