Hello. After around 1000 miles it's still not dissapeared.

I finally got the codes read in vida.

I'm getting the signal too high message. So I changed the oil completely and put in the correct ammount.

Read the codes in vida and its still there. The readout from the oil sensor says its at 68%. I'm assuming that should be OK because the high mark is 70% right?

I have uploaded some screenshot of what I'm looking at, I've reset the oil level in vida but the fault still keeps appearing.

If anyone has an idea about this it would really be appreciated.

Thanks again

so you have 5.7 litres in there and it reads 68% and you have reset the oil level calibration . you have the latest ECU software and you have driven more than 20 miles and you have a high oil level message all the time?

Yes. I actually put 5.4 liters in incase I over filled it again. Just under 2/3 on the dipstick now. Done about 400 miles since the oil change. When I did the recalibration I followed the instructions and it said something along the lines of completed.

Thanks

i would either take it to the dealer who will probably replace the sensor or get the oil to minimum and see if it picks up that from what you say ...

Thanks, I'm going to check the electrical connection and see if it's not corroded or anything, maybe that will give a wired reading. If that fails I'll try and reach the minium level and see if it picks it up.

For now I think I'll just have to trust the dipstick untill I can fix it :-)

Thanks for your help. I'll post again when I've done those checks.

Thanks

What is the oil temperature when taking this reading?

The function in Vida says that maximum accuracy is achieved at 90°C so to me, you have a low oil level but confusingly, high and low warnings have the same ECM-5660 code.

In your position, I would be trying to achieve 70% at 90°C before expecting the warning to go away.
