Default Heated seats repair

Both the front heated seats (driver and passenger) have died in my late 2016 XC90 (with which I have had no end of problems). Have been quoted €995 for Volvo to repair but at this stage I've had to fix so many things on it that I've lost confidence in the car and will probably move it on.

Unless some bright spark on here has any ideas about a more cost effective fix? Any thoughts/comments/suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Default Not a fuse

I should add that it's been confirmed as needing replacement of the heated seat pads (so it's nothing as simple as a fuse).

It is most unusual to have both seat pads go at the same time, a second opinion would be my advice, if you have a test meter unplug the seat harness and test for power when seat heaters switched on.

Have the back rest heated elements gone too?
I had just the driver back element replaced. Very unusual for all four elements to fail.

Yes, all four elements went at the same time. I was really hopeful going in that it was just a fuse that had blown because that was the only thing that made sense to me. The fuse box itself seems to be hard to locate. Is it tucked away behind carpet in the passenger footwell (on a RHD car)?

Yup, royal pain in the proverbial by the looks of it unfortunately... I guess there's other videos available showing how to remove the seats out but would not even fathom doing it myself...!
