I had a retrieved what I thought was a Karcher pressure washer trigger and a lance from the local pub's skip about 5 years ago and with the lance part blocked and the trigger still working I assumed it was a yellow Karcher. So I decided to buy a Karcher foamer and attach it to the trigger BUT alas it wasn't a Karcher after all and the foamer doesn't fit the lance or my my Macalliester 2 trigger either. So, some digging later I ordered a Bosch/Macallister to Karcher adaptor which all now works and I have a very white car. The suds left on the ground lay about a very long time. I can't imagine what is in the detergent.

Fitted the above, like my gadgets and do not like not having a temp gauge.

That might be a reasonable add-on. It's not really an HUD unit but I have tried real HUDs and they just don't display adequately on the windscreen in all lighting conditions. This makes no attempt to project an image and is just a mini screen powered by the OBD2 system. So long as the choice of displayed information can be adequately customised, it could be made to serve as whatever auxiliary instrument gauge that you needed. Sadly my experience is that the build quality of these Chinese devices is poor and they don't last very long.

Lots of colours to choose from for the display and there is allot of data to choose from to show.

So far so good.

@Waynedance, does the OBD2 dongle stay in the socket all the time and does it draw power when the ignition is off?

You could of course use the Torque app for your phone which give you a lot of info and is cutsomisable too. It can also log all your data too.

I did plug in an old phone and used an app to bring on the phone screen when it saw the obd2 Bluetooth dongle but the phone looked out of place.

The item I bought stays plugged in and automatically powers on the screen when the car is unlocked and again powered off after the engine has been switched off so all good.

Fitted the third incarnation of Evgeny's remote tailgate module. It now works. There seems to be a need to keep the button pressed until the tailgate starts to move down but this can be seen as a safety feature minimising the possibility of a guillotine effect of the descending tailgate on unsuspecting passersby!

I like this mod , especially for use from the dashboard tailgate button. It came as standard on some of my daughter's cars in the USA and I was always jealous.

Updated latest 2018 maps via USB in armrest.

Took a few hours and needed the ignition to be regularly switched on as the system automatically switches off after a while...bringing up a low battery warning...

Took it for a blast for a few miles while it finished updating, but the screen just showed the message ‘Navigation, please wait’, however after completely switching the ignition off, and starting the car up about 45 minutes later, all is good 👍

Today I changed my oil & filter, air filter, pollen filter & fuel filter. Also re gassed the air conditioning. Used Comma Voltech oil 0/30.

Got an air con cleaner but not used it yet.

I wrongly thought it was Mann filters that Volvo used but its Mahle, Oh well Mann filters are a known good brand.
