Default A good specialist near Preston?

Hi all,
We have a low mileage 2015 XC60 D4 AWD (2.4 5Cyl). Its done about 15k miles.

Its time for its service. Any recommendations for someone local please? I am aware of Jump Leads and was only planning on taking my old P1800E to them, unless they have all the kit and knowledge for the more modern Volvos?

How are Dove Volvo? I have had a series of frights with them in ordering parts in the past which makes me a bit worried about how good a service may be?

Regards

I use Doves Preston, car came from Doves Blackburn and they serviced it for first 3 years as i had a service plan. As i live in Preston i now use the Preston branch.
They have been ok with me. I always ask for service cost before booking and after having a moan i seem to get about a 10-15% reduction.Always worth ringing a few dealers as cost does vary even though Volvo do publish regional costs. They have always lent me a car as well.

Default Use of non franchised Volvo dealer whilst in warranty

The only dealer I would recommend is Lloyd Volvo in Carlisle

What you must be aware of and always remember, is that no non-franchised garage can carry out a warrantable repair.

Also remember when it comes time to trade in your XC60, the trade in value will take a hit.

Franchised dealers also have access to full technical support from the factory

Just ask yourself is it worth it just to save a few bob?

I would definitely second the Lloyd recommendation - been going to them since 2008 for new cars - really good people.
But if you must go independent, you could try Corner Garage in Warton - pretty close to Preston!
Specialists for 25 years, must be doing something right.

I bought my current 'interim' XC70 from them. So far, so good...

My apologies for not replying to this, my reply notices have never worked with this forum, despite setting and resetting.

I ended up going to Jump Leads who seemed a nice bunch. They also corrected the tracking. Nothing seems amiss and the vehicle carries on behaving at its best.

For electrical stuff, I would recommend Biju Abrahams and his colleague at Corinthian Autofix in Blackpool. They have troubleshot my P1800E for electrical/ECU/Injection problems, as they are trained AutoElectricians - thankfully they located the problem as crud in the tank!!

They have serviced a few cars for me and the work has always been good. No reservations in recommending them.

Regards
