Just hard wired nextbase 112 dash cam into 2009 V50 using their hard wire kit. First tried piggy backing off fuse number 43, the Audio System but camera remained on when ignition was turned off. Tried again with fuse number 45, 12-volt socket in rear seat. Same result. Tried again with fuse number 77, the 12 volt socket in cargo area. Same result - despite Volvo main dealer telling me this was not a permanent live. Eventually piggy backed on fuse number 61, the heated passenger's seat. Finally dash cam turned off when ignition was turned off. Am I doing something daft/missing something?

The cargo area 12 volt socket is definitely a permanent live - you can run stuff off it with the key out. The one in the rear seat should be on the same circuit as the one between the front seats, which runs off fuse 45. This should be live only when the key is in at least Position 1. Did you try it with the key out, or could it been at 1?
