Thanks for getting back to me Baffler.

I have looked and looked, but I cannot find the VCT box anywhere :/

Can you please screenshot it's location for me, as I'm completely stumped.

Oh my God I am stupid, I was looking for a box like the continue button.

I didn't even notice that box said VCT.

THANKS! Will try it again later today.

OK, I now realise that the reason I didn't see it is because the VCT lettering is all pixely and illegible on my screen lol.

FINALLY got the thing timed up there the other evening! Did a right bit of fiddling about with it tbh, but got it in the end.

One question I have though is, at which point during the test am I looking for the value of 0.5 degrees?

Is it after you press "Start" and then the engine revs up?

Hi I am also having problems with interpreting the vida info. I have run the diagnostic shown in the second thumbnail in 11, but generally get a value around 21, labelled as injection angle actual value, which sometimes jumps to a small negative value briefly and seemingly at random. I assume this small negative value is what I need to compare with the graph but don't know how to make it more permanent. Do I need to let the program run for longer and get an average value at the end or something? Thanks Darrell

Sounds as though it's advanced if it's showing 21° but surprised you're getting it to run. Does it start immediately?

First thing I'd do is clarify whether it's retarded or advanced. If you set up TDC, by viewing the flywheel marker through the gearbox bellhousing, where is your diesel pump pulley marker positioned? Above the engine marker will be in a retarded position, below the engine marker will be advanced.

I would guess it is 2.1 if sometimes it is jumping to a small negative....

If it is 21 jumping to a small negative something somewhere is not good!!
