C30 1.6D Starting Problems
Hello All
I was wondering if I could get some feedback of anyone who has had the same problems. At the start of the year when I would start the car up it would not turn over and would just say Immobiliser/Anti Skid Service Required. So I have my Mechanic look at it and felt the problem that was causing it was a broken Glow Plug. After one of the Plugs breaking and spending weeks with him I took the car to another garage to repair. It took the garage 16 hours to get the old Glow Plug out and I have the car back (Yay). Now running it for a bit the Car still have problems like the turbo working when it wants and the car is starting to cut out sometimes. Has anyone had the same problem like this before? Any advice is most grateful. |

I am also having seldom messages as: Immobiliser/Anti Skid Service Required, brake failure, ....at some stage the the wipers/indicators started by itself, I had no control at all. Imagine, I was driving and wanted to turn left and the indicators were on indicating right, I could not stop them.
I stopped immediately and I opened the CEM left it down than the car behaved nicely. When I got home I cleaned all the CEM connectors. I am still having once every two months errors, only regrading the Immobiliser/Anti Skid Service Required, brake failure. Last time was a week ago, besides all the above messages the engine was accelerating by itself without pressing the pedal. I turned off the engine, left it a few minutes and at the third attempt the car was good to go again. I will remove the CEM and give a good clean again. |
