That's a real sickener pal, I did mine soon after buying it when I read of it on here and glad I did as it was in a really poor state. Not any help to you though but you do have my sympathy

thank your for your sympathy. what was annoying that I had passed my MOT with ZERO advisory 2 months before it happened and replaced one rusty clip the same time.... but only one.

Cheers for the heads up , had a gander at mine and looks like the previous owner has dealt with it, but something to keep an eye on it

Default Radiator first...

For mine it's the radiator who "died" the first...

There are also clips like that on the fuel tank rigHTC where the filler pipe joins.
I know cos mine just give out. Only a drip BUT......

Default Yep. Thanks a lot.

Yeah I confirm. Mine had an issue, it throws coolant out.
It was obviously air in the coolant system.
I confirm it was that rusty clip that was leaking ever so slowly and it was not showing in the expansion tank.

Any idea if this will effect a V40 dual fuel 2001? Collecting today so will have a look. Let’s hope it doesn’t go on the way home!
