Default Seven seats/Spare wheel problem

My 940 has the fold down rear facing seats fitted. I just discovered that you can't get the spare wheel 195 65 15 out unless you unbolt the seat section. I luckily carry a socket set with me but thought I'd mention it in case anyone else finds themselves stuck with a puncture and no way of getting at the spare.

From memory the 940 it came from had 185 65 15 tyres fitted which just squeezed out but the 195's don't.

Had exactly the same problem one stormy night on the M25. It does actually tell you about the seat removal on the yellow sticker on the seat. The answer is a space saver spare(The skinny tyre) which you can pick up for about £30 on ebay or from Salvo. It makes life much easier and if you have alloys then the floor will not lay flat, so a space saver is a requirement.

space saver tyre is the answer as I found out when I tried to fit in my 16" alloys with 205 tyres, just wouldn't fit

My spares a full size steel wheel although car has alloys. I took the steel U section reinforcing off the underside of rear floor to let it lie flat. As I mentioned I carry a socket set anyway to unbolt the two 13mm bolts.
