Thanks for the reply at the moment it doesn’t use any coolant (touchwood) it used to shudder a small amount but I put 2 bottles of dr tranny in it which stopped it and helped with the slipping for a while.
But it has come back, I’m currently on nights so hopefully next week or just after going to take it to a specialist to see what they think, from what I’ve read it all points to the torque converter but you never know. Thanks again and will keep you updated once I’ve had it looked at. Daniel |

Just an update it’s booked in on Monday for a complete rebuild and torque converter and another valve block. Decided to take the plunge and do it will let you know how it’s goes and what it is like when it’s done.
It will take approx a week but having a courtesy car so not as bad. |

Just a quick update had a call from them earlier and they said it was completely burnt out pretty much everything, the gears have worn the torque converter has no clutch left and the clutch drums have no friction material left so surprised it still actually drove.
Only bad thing is they said they took the wishbone off and the bushes have broken off and not attached so having two new genuine wishbones fitted as well will keep you updated. Daniel |

No worries the gearbox rebuild is coming in at £2749 all in that includes everything torque converter, valve block, clutches , new gears and also includes a new awd sleeve kit which I thought was good.

Just an update, I’ve picked it up and it feels like a different car I never realised how bad it had got until now.
It’s nice and smooth with no slipping, glad I did it but was an expensive bill but going to keep it for a while now just going to fit a new intercooler a radiator and then get it serviced at Volvo so can have all the software updated. |

If it helps when mine are played up it ended up having a full rebuild and after they stripped it down the clutch packs had worn out and the torque converter had completely worn out and all had to be replaced.
