What are S40 T4's going for?
Hello All,
I have been looking online and as you know trying to find a S40 T4. I trying to see what kind of money a T4 S40 would go for i have seen one a 1999 older shape for about £1000 which had i believe 80k on the clock but looked a bit tired and a 2001 with 143000 on the clock for £695. I saw another 03 plate with 140000 on the clock and the gentlemen was looking for £1200. Regards, |

It's always going to be down to condition at this age.
Some are around £300 - 500 and others are in the £1000+ range. Depends how 'stock' they are vs how much good (or bad) tuning work's been done. Some people would pefer a straight oe car whereas others would say "bring it on" and prefer max boost etc. They're out there, just be quick Have some searches set on Autotrader, ebay & Gumtree (you might have another more local paper too) plus check Facebook & on here regularly. As we move into winter those cars needing work may be harder to sell (ie a lower price) so if that's what you could take on then you could get a bargain.

Would you also be able to be so kind to what kind of things i need to look out for with a T4. Currently the car is a not running due to the MAF sensor which is getting replaced on Wednesday. But is there anything i need to look out for on the car. From what i know as long as the car has been looked after and had regular oil changes the car will last into the hundreds of thousands of miles. Currently it has done 140K.
