Can I tow my XC90
Hi all, the fuel filter sealing ring malfunctioned and our XC 90 does not run so we need to get it a mile to local garage.
Can't see anywhere to connect the tow rope! ...could someone please advise? thank you. |

you should have a big towing eye in the tool kit in the back , it screws in the front bumper behind a flap which you have to prise out ..

I know you can only tow our cars for a very short distance before it wrecks the gearbox , check how far first

Many thanks for the reply Dave; we have already towed the car a mile or so to garage (pretty slowly) , could you please point me to any of the towing distance information you mentioned as I have not been able to find any myself.

Automatic gearbox: – Move the gear selector to position N. Cars with automatic gearbox must not be towed at speeds above 80 km/h or further than 80 km. The car must always be towed facing forward. The engine cannot be bump started. "Jump starting", see page 134.
