V70 2.4 d5 sport, sat nav, tv, leather (2004)
Hi all,
Time has come to reluctantly sell my V70. There's no point saying how great it is as if you're looking here you already know! I'm not using it to it's full potential so it's time to go. It's advertised on pistonheads at the moment, you guys know it's real worth so the asking price is guide and open to offers. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/classifieds/907773.htm This link should take you to the add, if there's a problem let me know. I'm new to this so bear with me!!! Thanks for looking, Gareth. |

Pricing this car at 10K is a tad optimistic, I saw an advert in a Saturday paper ( the Telegraph I think ) selling this car new for 17k.

I agree it's a bit optimistic, whilst my 2003 D5S has a much higher mileage (150k) and a year older, it cost only £3695. That's a big gap

Hi Gareth,
Well its a nice car, and well presented. Im sure you have your own price in mind, and as has been pointed out, your on the high side. As another guide, I have a 2005 SE, identical in spec (no RTI/Phone) 110k and it was just over half what your looking for. Have you thought about appealing to a wider market and listing on Ebay? Im afraid Id suggest you loose a few quid, perhaps bringing it down to 8750, (and even that might not sell). There are a lot of 3 year old vehicles coming off lease and whilst they might have a higher mileage, they are loads less than your looking for. I dont think Piston Heads gets to a wide market, so as well as ebay, why not do an add in AutoTrader, it might go... Also mention tyre depth/condition as that can influence potential buyers, finally I might have missed it, but is it a manual or auto and are seats cloth or leather etc. Good luck |

My brother in law has bought a V70 D5 Sport on a 2004 04 plate with 88k, FVSH, all the toys for £3900 private sale 2 months ago. Yes it was a good find but im afraid ten grand is an enormous price tag for a near 5 year old car. Sorry to sound harsh but just being honest. I wish you luck with your sale, it looks a lovely car.

Hi. As said before, its a little high. I bought s60 in October 32,000 miles FVSH from Pilling Volvo, same age, spec as yours for £8000.
Mines prob worth about £6/6500 now with 15,000 extra miles (still short of yours though) so that makes it look very steep. Sorry to bring bad news. Its not that the cars not worth it, its just there aren't many buyers out there and everyone wants a bargain. Get the right price (£6500/7000) and it will go cos it looks really good |
