Hi Stu

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble selling but you're not alone. There's very little money out there.

I do think you will need to adjust yor price somewhat though. I paid £8000 for mine which is a 54 facelift D5 SE manual. 30,000 miles and that's from a Volvo dealer with 12 month Volvo warranty!

The pre facelifts are looking a bt old now and that is reflected in the value. Glasses guide price for your car is

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition:
£5050

Average condition:
£4560

Below average condition:
£4050

Whilst these are part ex prices, the reality ofthe market right now is that you will be doing very well to get over that on a private sale. I reckon you're better off keeping it as you know its a good one.....

Sorry to all those people who didn't buy my lovely car. Good for me though as its now back on the road for me to use. I missed all this luxury. GREAT.

Don't blame you mate. I'm struggling to think of anything on the road that offers driving appeal, performance, luxury and reliability at a decent price, that compares with the S60 D5.

Good point But in my house, that's what the wife's car is for . Hyundai Santa Fe that smells like a dog kennel.

I like to preserve the aroma of leather in mine...

Unfortunately a 2004 53 D5SE with 40k is only booking around 6 privately. I do wish you luck tho, nice cars (have one myself) but with the current financial climate cars are hard to sell. Keep it, they really are superb cars.
