Well just spoke to Volvo but they woildn't tell me anything without an order number - so I'm in the hands of the dealer. I've arranged for my car to be collected on 30/3 so I will be spectacularly cross if the date's wrong.

Given that it's meant to be with the dealer in less than 2 weeks you'd have thought it would be being built about now, wouldn't you?

Default MY11 upto May 19th

I've just been to visit my dealer too (Snows Winchester) and though i ordered the car mid feb, he recons its now 19th May delivery. I asked about stalling to ensure its an MY12 model (might as well have the latest!) but he says nope - it will be an MY11 model.

To be honest - he seem totally disinterested - guess the sales done now they've had my deposit money seems to be one of disinterest. Not impressed.
Slightly of topic - a few days after i put the £1k deposit down i checked out Harratts and discovered a much better deal could be had - another £2k off. However man from Snows says i couldn't cancel and the deposit was non -refundable. Is that right ? The order hadn't even gone in to Volvo.

Either way - i'm sure the car will be great - lots of happy campers in her with theirs when it arrives. Mines still in the electric silver .. though the Saville Grey looked good in the sun this morning... er - but that's another thread!

I had a similar issue where the dealer couldn't/wouldn't change the spec of my S60 order. I placed a new order elsewhere in the spec I wanted and for 1500 cheaper, walking away from my original £500 deposit, I was still £1000 better off and with car I wanted.
The original dealer tried to sue me ,forcing me to take the car or reimburse their expenses involved in selling my original car.
Needless to say I fought back, they lost
