Great job. How many miles? Did you change the whole vvt pulley or just the o-ring? Was previously leaking? What happened with the IC?

Yesterday I finally got around to fitting my personal number plate. I also replaced the headlight bulbs with Philips 130% brighter ones.

Fitted a new pair of handbrake cables, worst part of the job was getting access to the cables at the back of the centre console.
Also new handbrake shoes & springs.
Part of the linkage in the right hand drum was seized, I freed it off.
Great handbrake now !

Dropped mine off at my local garage today.
Service and MOT due on the 15th of March.
Before then, I am having the power steering flushed and refilled with new fluid.
Also having Goodridge braided brake hoses fitted all round and replacing the brake fluid too.
Oil, oil filter and plugs to be changed.
Volvo filter and Denso TT Iridium plugs, plus a new sump plug and washer.

Bought an unused and unpainted front bumper, for use as a template, so I can have an S60R front bumper splitter modified and fitted to my bumper. This part won't be complete until May, as he is very busy.

Hopefully the V70 will sail through the MOT on the 15th!

Gary

^^^ive just this week done my plugs. I found the DENSO iridium was in it. They'd done a good faultless 30+ k miles till I did the swap.

Just put a 2004 V70 SE T5 on the drive - a 2 previous owner motor with only 118K on the clock in metallic black with a huge folder of Volvo dealer invoices right up until a couple of days ago

Now all I have to do is to convince SWMBO that C70s and V70s can procreate overnight and their union can morph into a full fledged and grown up metallic black "mature" T5 by dawn - me'thinks I've already been sussed + I know I'm going to have sell my pride and joy very well maintained 2001 V70 with 208K miles on the clock in early May....unless of course SWMBO sees the need for a cooking aka "daily runabout" motor!
