Hi Dave
The hoses aren't due to arrive until the 12th, so the car is just sitting waiting for them to arrive.
After that, new brake fluid and then the MOT on Wednesday or Thursday. 🤞🤞

I had the same fitted to my 2003 S40, a few years back and it did make a noticeable difference to the pedal feel and braking performance.

Finally ordered a new alarm module and bonnet catch kit.
Had the "alarm service required" message since I bought the car.
Hopefully, that will stop the warning chime, every time l start up.

I think my alarm is being triggered by a faulty bonnet catch. Would a bonnet catch kit fix that, or does anyone know anyway to test if it is this?

Totally agree with Simmy.
Alarm triggering is usually due to a sticky contact.

Fitted new Bosch heater plugs x 5 ( thankyou e-bay) £16 plus post, then proceeded to splice in some new heater plug caps that came off a vivaro.....sorted!

Also fitted a set of four steel wheels complete with road legal rubber (thank you e-bay lol) £ 40 plus an hour of my travelling to pick them up.....All in all a very productive part of my day, without a great deal of money changing hands..............very pleased....

The V70 passed its MOT test, with no advisories. 😁😁
Service today and power steering system flush.
Brake lines still not arrived, so that's been delayed until a bit later on.

Sold my V70R as it wasn't being used, continued to drive my old D5 with not one single care in the world, bought a P3 XC70... made plans to scrap the old D5, hated the XC70, sold it, hastily MOT'd the D5, changed the filters and oil and now back racking up 500 miles a week.

Changed the indicator stalk as the flash function was sticking on, tried two pre-facelift stalks to no avail so tried a facelift stalk and it works and confirmed they aren't interchangeable. Continued to watch the rust slowly invading all four arches and found myself quite sad that it's come to that.

Just can't get enthusiastic about anything else...
