Hes on holiday @ the moment, (back any day now).

Last thing he said to me was that after driving it all the way to Hampshire then on th gatwick, and only putting £20.00 of fuel in it, he will probably keep it as its just too nice to sell for silly money (I have been saying this for ages).

The warm sun may have changed his mind, but Im sure hell get back to you soon.

Thanks

My thoughts exactly:

I have a 2004 S60 D5 SE, sat nav/TV etc, its done 125,000 miles. I bought it when it was 6 months old, paid £17k for it.

Last year looked at changing it, Volvo dealer (where I bought it, and had been servicing it) offered me £7,000 for it trade in, at this stage it had done 95,000 miles.

As it had cost me nothing apart from servicing, tyres, and fuel I decided to keep it. 12 months later it has still cost nothing to run and still averages 45mpg.

Its worth even less now, but invaluable to replace. It will be with me until it becomes unreliable, or too expensive to run, whenever that may be.

PS
Had an E class Merc prior to this, but will go for a Volvo again anytime!
