Default Volvo 850 T5R

I now own two 850 T5R, both Green Estate models one Auto and one Manual.
How many of these cars are left as I believe only 600 were every made, are they are getting rare now.

I have just been approached by someone who has a primula yellow 850 T5R for sale, of which only 200 were apparently made. He was extolling the fact that it was fabulously fast beast. Looking forward to see it, but at around £2500, me thinks its a no go for me!!.

200 T5Rs were made.

69 Yellow

108 Black

23 Green

So you have the rarest colour!

I believe only 10 Green manual models were made of which I had one (855T5R)

Resale prices on these at the moment arent fantastic but i reckon they will steadily rise over the next 10 years or so

I thought that there were 200 of each colour (yellow and black) and then the crappy green colour was introduced as there was a bit of a demand for the race bred, original fast volvo unlike the more common, lesser cream interiored, boring red, 850R's normally in a dull estate form, but you're right Tony, no one really cares.. pmsl

Lets not go into the figures to much Scott as I have already mentioned no one actually knows the exact numbers introduced.

Although the boring red was indeed the colour of choice for the 850R's as was the black/yellow for the underpowered T-5R's I will add as a fact that the red was unique to the 850R unlike the more common black which was used in all models of the 850's.

But like what has already been mentioned, No on actually cares

We have a green 855 t5r in manual,.Going to park it next to the red baron at the Rishworth meet. lol.

Crappy Green!!!....... you mean Olive Green Pearl? my favourite Volvo colour of all time!

I detect a bitterness towards the original T5R which incidentally had a more aggressive suspension than the more compliant and normal production model 850R

The numbers I quoted were Volvos official figures as the reason 200 were produced as a limited run was to comply with the BTCC Homologation regulations!

I always got earache from 850R drivers when I had mine....I put it down to envy
