Reliable Garages - Scotland North East

I will shortly be picking up my XC90 courtesy of CondorXC90 who read my saga, took pity, did a bit of digging locally and put me onto what should hopefully be a clean, reliable XC90.

My first question is getting a garage I trust or more importantly one that you guys n gals trust. I may well go back down to Derby where I am buying it from (Sounds like a good garage) but that will depend obviously on what is needing done.

I have searched the forums and up until now anything past Dundee is deemed "Beyond the Wall" for those of you that are Game of Thrones savy or "Beyond the Thunderdome" for the elderly

So I am after a good reliable, cost conscious, Volvo competent, Vida/Dice garage (not asking much am I?) in the NE of Scotland.

It would also be good to make contact with any fellow XC90r's in the region who i can give me shoulder to cry on when the garage bills start rolling in, maybe they can also help me with the basics and avoid a garage altogether

There are many main dealerships up here and the natives have way more money than sense

Hi ,which XC90 at the garage did you end up going for. Both showing sold now.

The peasants one 2007 .... only jkn .... Mrs wouldnt let me increase my budget unfortunately ..... if i get a few years of relative pain free motoring out of it i will be happy.

Its had its cambelt and water pump done just last year and has been maintained by the garage for many years .... i suspect the original owner bought it from them .... had it maintained by them .... then came back to upgrade ..... so theoretically and fingers crossed this will be a good runner ..... and thats what its all about ..... not getting stung by Delboys and able to put my family in it without second guessing if its safe.
