Hi guys, just seeing if any one has painted their calipers on a SILVER xc90?

If so any recommendations of colour, I was thinking black to tidy up?

My 2p worth, unless you are driving a Porsche 911, don't bother ... always says to me ... "what are you hiding."

If you must use a stiff wheel cleaning brush and "Wonder Wheels (dont forget to clean it off properly) or Brake and Clutch cleaner ... keeps them honest.

I used Hammerite metal paint on my calipers & they look great. It says "Direct to rust on the tin", but I cleaned them the best I could with brake cleaner & then gave them a few coats of spray.

The colour I used is called "Smooth Silver" & you can get it in places like Halfords. They look much better than they were anyway!

Another vote for silver smoothrite, painted my XC90 calipers years ago after a quick wire brushing and a squirt of brake cleaner. The paint held up really well. Always looked smart.
