Default clutch/gearbox noise

hi guys ive got a s40 57/08 1.8 petrol had a lot of bother with it since i got it in august finaly got them to admit there was a problem with it cut along story short they replaced dmf and clutch in january but ive noticed that im still getting a faint rumbling noise from gearbox clutch this only happens when the clutch pedal is pressed in the rumble starts its more noticable when the car is cold this was the opposite of the noise with the dmf it was there when the clutch was out and went away when the pedal was pressed in only other symptoms is that sometimes the odd gear mainly third is sticky first thing after a couple of shifts its normal im not sure if this noise normal or not ???? cheers guys

TBH, it sounds like a failing DMF (again) or maybe just a thrust bearing problem.

I'd take it back to the garage that done the last DMF and ask them to check it out and if nothing else gain their opinion.

Have you changed the gearbox oil?

Have you checked the gearbox oil level as it could be low, and might not have been topped up to the correct level when the clutch was changed.

Some slight noise is normal in a gearbox with some miles on it.

Could you be over thinking the problem?

Hi v50 I'm not really sure how to check the gearbox oil to be honest with you the noise was the same noise that they said was dmf this noise went away when the clutch was pushed in and was quite now it's the opposite it's when I push the clutch in I'm getting a rumbling noise I've had this problem since I got the car in August so to be honest I'm not sure if there should be any noise the cars done 45k

Sorry also I've got problems getting in to third gear too first is really notchy too sometimes it's like I've too double dip the clutch to get it in to gear
