Finally got my 940 into the new garage today for a long overdue check over and fitting of winter tyres.
Was turning the steering from side to side with suspension on full droop and when I lifted the bonnet there's fluid all down the inner wing, the reservoir having overflowed. Why?
Also when spinning the front wheels (with ignition on) there's a noise, sounds electrical, like machine gun fire from around the radiator. What's that?
I've owned 940's for about 14 years and not experienced either before.
Thanks in advance

You pushed fluid backwards from the rack into the reservoir and overfilled it in reverse - mine did the same at the MoT when the tester moved the wheels side to side on the rack to check the joints behind them. Clean it up, top up the reservoir and keep an eye on it.

Machine gun noise - probably the ABS modulator operating because the front wheels are spinning and the rears aren't.

Thanks, never had the ATF fluid coming back through the reservoir before, but I guess it's one way of changing the fluid!!
ABS Modulator, never thought of that, good call, thanks.
