Question Should I change my oil and water?

Hi everyone, for those of you that have been following my 4 year 1800 restoration, a quick question. The car has been in and out of my garage ( 100 yards and back ) for 4 years of my restoration. I changed the oil and filter about 2 yaers ago. Bearing in mind that I still have about 6 months resto to go, do I need to change the oil again. Its a bit of a pain as I havnt even driven it anywhere yet. The same goes for the water in the radiator. I bought an anti freeze tester and it says that it needs it. This check was done after the car sat for 2 weeks and was not started. The liquid pulled up into the tester was really rusty murky. Can anyone advise me, I know not driving it is not doing it any good, but I have no choice at the moment. Thanks alot. Jimmy.

Hi,

After 4 years work it would be better to be safe than sorry I think.

However, the coolant should definitely be changed as it looks like it is starting to loose its rust inhibitors...
The oil and filter, while sitting there have not done any work, and likely could be left for a few more months...

Des. . .

I would change the oil and filter and flush the cooling system and replace with new coolant once I am going to put the car on the road.

Question Should I change my oil and water.

For those who have kindly replied to my question so far, I am not driving it yet and I am not near electricity or hose pipe so how do you recomend the water change. I know there is a petcock below the radiator, do you think releasing the water from there would be ok for now, and what ratio antifreeze/water should I use? thanks Jimmy.
