V50 Key Fobs don’t un/lock doors!

Evening, just bought a V50 2008 2.0D. Great car but the dealership let the battery die and had left it for a while! It was coming up “alarm service required” and both fobs won’t work with the car. Both will start and run the car but none of the buttons work. Volvo recommended changing the Car Battery which I have done and the message has went off. But the fobs still don’t need work! Any ideas on how to diagnose the issues without having to pay Volvo £74 to take a look at it!

Because of the dead battery you have lost the codes which can only be re installed by Volvo dealer.
As you've just bought the car get the dealership to sort and pay for it.
