Default alternator belt change - dummies guide needed?

hi guys,
Just bought a 1995 Volvo 480 2.0 celebration with a/c, and the alternator belt went last night, and i wanted to know if it is hard to do, as i would like to do the change the belt myself, any info help or tips would be appreciated.

This is the second volvo i own, the other is a 740 2.3 carb auto estate.

Thanks Guys

I would be more worried about the timing belt. Considering both would be likley to be of the same age, have done the same mileage, and surely in the past, one would not have been replaced without the other, I would change them both, rather than just the alternator belt. Could be a lot cheaper in the long run.

If you are mechanically minded, then they should be no problem, if you have the correct tools.

Regards

Hey sparky, the haynes manual covers this in fine detail and certainly good enough for a novice to do themselves, alot cheaper than putting it in to be done at a garage

best of luck!!!
