As per Xceed's very helpful post, although I select DAB and then press the 'OK' button twice and the 'ensemble learn' function brings up the available channels.
Unfortunately, as you travel along reception will drop and you have to go through the 'ensemble learn' process again. So whilst it does work it and the quality is generally better than normal FM stations it is very sensitive / the government hasn't invested enough in the technology. It isn't Volvos fault entirely that DAB doesn't work quite as well as it should in this particular instance. That is my understanding anyway. Cheers Paul |

Not had DAB in the car before until now and living in the far south west had little expectation for it to work well. After 5 weeks and over 3000 miles, including trips to the midlands and London I've not had it drop any more than I would expect fm to and haven't had to revert to fm once. I mainly listen to the national bbc channels if this helps.

It's actually my companies religious beliefs ( they can't have any outside influence, including the t.v newspaper's ect) anyone know how to remove the radio as I think it may just need to have the antenna/s plugged In as everything else works.
All I get when I carryout the ensemble thingy is a load of ltz come up but they are nothing? May pop in to dealer in the area and see what they say. I only really want it for.talksport?

Might seem silly, but which car is the problem on? You say in your sigi that the current car is a skoda - do you have the Volvo now?
On the XC60 the dab module is in the boot under the rear seat - you can see when you take the tray out to get to the spare wheel. NB it is not the one on the left, I assume this is the HDD unit for the SatNav as that is where the DVD unit used to sit

Sorry Wimorrison, Yes i have the XC60 now (Signiture changed too) its weird because i have FM, but no AM or DAB. On my previous cars the company has just had the antenna unplugged and i though this may be the case again. ill check the boot as you mentioned.

Worth being aware that current Sensus infotainment system does not have Ensemble Learn. The DAB radio automatically searches and refreshes the available stations list as you drive around. Just turn the Menu/OK knob counter-clockwise to access the currently available DAB station list.
