Default What is High Performance Audio?

My XC60 has High Performace Audio, but since I didn't buy it new I don't actually know what that means... Is it better speakers or something?

Thank you.

So I guess my logical next question is: what's the difference from the base spec? IE what do XC60s that don't have High performance Audio come with?

And if it makes a difference,it's a 2009 model.

On 2009 model you get better speakers, uprated amp and USB connection for iPod/USB stick

There is no screen with a 2009 model - only if you have satnav otherwise it is a little black cubby hole

Cheers. I've got SatNav but there's a separate screen for the audio / car menus - is that what you mean?

If somebody didn't have that screen how would they go into the car menus?

The S models of its time had:

Performance Sound Audio System - 1 x CD/Radio, 4 x 20W Amplifier, Aux Input and 6 Speakers

as opposed to yours:

High Performance Sound Audio System – 1 x CD radio, 4 x 40 W Amplifier,
USB and Aux Input (MP3/WMA Compatible), USB Port and 8 Speakers

Yes, the systems were separated at that point in time, all cars had the top screen - the cubby hole I refer to is where you have the SatNav

In several ways the two screens were better than the single screen as there was a lot less swapping screens from SatNav to radio, phone, menus etc.

I guess you have to ask yourself if you like the sound it produces .
I love mine (High performance) especially up loud.
