At least now you are living proof that the rear O2 sensor is as important as the front one! Let the ECU settles as you say with a few cold starts and it will re-learn and you will get the best from what you have done, but drive it as you intend to most of the time. If you drive slowly a lot when you put your foot down you won`t get as much performance as if you do that more regularly so you will think it doesn`t go so well. The ECU in easy terms gives you what you give it, the way you drive. Good Luck & Happy Motoring

Driving to work this morning and the rear lambda code has came back. Do you think I should disconnect the battery today while I'm at work to let everything reset ?
Also noticed mpg back to about 19mpg again not to bothered about that as last car done about 10mpg so still better but not sure if lambda is doing it jobs right with it keep throwing a code |

It may take about 6 cold starts and up to temp. before the ECU has learnt also you should always erase the code when fitting the new part otherwise the ECU will revert back as it still has the code logged.

Thanks going to leave the battery off today and see if that helps hoping with everything all replaced and working now as it should a ecu reset will sort it out.
After fitting the lambda i erased the code with handheld scanner but has came back on twice now. The sensor was brand new and is the ntk one so shouldn't be any issues there volvo part number etc Will see how that goes |

Got it online from lambda power for £100 part number is 30611233 which is one i was given for my model of car from volvo.
Came in NTK box brand new and correct part number stamped on it and it fitted great. Have reset ecu today and no lambda codes have came back so will keep a eye on it over next couple of days |

Front & Back Lambda now both replaced still throwing a rear lambda code.
After resetting it changes everytime how long before it comes back sometimes a couple of miles other times couple of days later. I did notice that that the battery was flat the other day after I was trying to fit my new washer jets after about 10 minutes I had left the ignition on it was dead. Would a poor battery make the lambda light trip ? I'm sure I read somewhere that a duff battery can trip lambda lights as it works with the voltage. Put a battery tester on to the car tonight after charging it for a full day and still only at fair. any help would be great thanks |
