Default XC90 & Text/iMessages iPhone 8Plus

Hi

Does anyone here use and iPhone 8/Plus and are able to get their text/iMessages to display when they are received?

I’m running ios12 beta so this may be the issue but when I click on the messages app in Sensus it says not available and when I receive a message I don’t get any notifications.

It works when I’m connected to Apple Car play but not when just connected via Bluetooth.

I like to think I’m relatively tech savvy but I’m assuming I’m missing an easy trick.

Any help would be great.

Try it when car is connected to wifi. Either from phone or sim card.

Make sure 'show notifications' is on in the iPhone bluetooth menu for the car's connection (My Volvo Car, if you haven't changed it).

That did it for me.

As as another current thread says though, you can't currently send texts with iOS (not that you'd want to anyway as you can't dictate them).

Hi all,

Thanks for the responses, all possible things are on but still no joy with receiving messages. Works fine with AppleCarPlay.

Is this an issue where it will not pick up iMessages and only sms’?
