General: - V70 00-07 Alarm

Hi everyone,

My alarm was activating routinely showing the indicators flashing but no sound. I received a rapid flash from the dash light on return and error message.
I pulled th fuse and it seems to have reset (no activation). However, still no sound and the panic button doesnt work.

Any thoughts?

Dead Alarm Siren Module.
using the search function will reveal the cure as this is a very popular fault.

You mean there's actually a common problem that hasn't affected mine yet? Wow, I didn't think anything else could drop off...

Yeah, see Rufe on here, or FRF Volvo for new one. About £100 retail, only £77 if you go thru Rufe.

Great cars, its just there's so much jammed into them, problems are gonna crop up from time to time. They ain't cheap to put right generally.

I've just ordered an Autel 702 scanner... I can't wait to see how many DTCs are stored. I'll put money on it being in double figures...
