The 'book service time' message has come up, which I can delete, but only until the next time the car is switched on. It's not due a service, either in mileage or time, so I'd like to erase it permanently, but I can't find a way to do it through the menu screens, (I have rtfm'd!)

Can it be done?

Thanks

This reminder comes up a month before the service is due , Just ignore it , it goes away after 2 minutes , Don't forget to book the service !

There is a way to do it with just the car's controls and the ignition key, I had to use it on my first C70 not long after I got it. I don't remember exactly how but I do recall that in the process it'll reset one of the two trip odometers.

All I did was google 'Reset Volvo C70 service indicator' or something similar (try S40 or V50 if no joy, they're the same). One of the results I got was a YouTube video, think it was the Mr.Fixit.pl channel.

Hope this helps

Service Indicator Reset
1. Press and hold trip odometer reset button
2. Turn ignition key to run position KPII
3. Wait 30 seconds or until service light begins blinking
4. Release Trip Odometer button
5. Turn ignition to off position
