Default Grom IPD3 unit plus cables

As per title: grom unit and cable to connect to car at either head unit or multichanger. Comes with cable on which bluetooth receiver is mounted as well as cables with 3mm jack and usb (female) for connecting media in any way you fancy. Unit plus cables retail new at around £160.

I removed this from my xc70 - in which it worked fantastically - before i sold it in the hope of getting it working in my 3 series. Turns out the both the cable and box are vehicle-specific.

£80

Interested. Is the Bluetooth just for connectivity or is it also for hands free calling?

What head units is it compatible with and what year was your XC?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim

It allows full hands-free and remote call/hang-up from steering wheel. My head unit was an sc-901 i think but the unit is compatible with any as far as i'm aware. My xc70 was a '52 plate phase 2.

Hello Knobstar,
very interested in the Grom kit.
The situation is that my son has a Grom wiring kit installed in his V70 2005. It fits a Grom USB2 which doesn't work.
So would your Grom just plug in and play?
Regards,
Steve

ps
I tried to PM you with my number but cannot because I haven't posted enough. So please PM me if you'd like to discuss collection of the unit in the next couple of days, as I think I'll probably buy the kit
