Garage, Slough, said they gave greased the caliper pistons as per a Volvo bulletin, not sure why they have done this as I described the fault as occurring when driving and nit whilst braking. I have sent them a link to this thread as well as a link to the YouTube video which they have forwarded to Volvo for review. I guess I will be going back soon for the seals to be replaced. Thank you.

Like my Dealership, if it is not displaying it, they will do nothing. I left my car overnight with them. I borrowed one of thiers, and went back first thing the next day, and drove a mile with thier technician, and pointed out the noise. It is a known issue, I doubt they have not had a car with the same issue.

They can also get a second opinion from Snows in Winchester.

Deadlock, screeching noise has not reoccurred since being at the garage. I wonder what they actually did?

Angry Unwanted Christmas present

The noise has returned and this time I have managed to record it using my phone. I will be contacting the garage on the 2nd.

No offence but greasing the break scalpers pistons is a crock of poo. The only way to fix this issue is the replace the front drive shaft seals as that is the problem.
Holdouts in stoke on trent did mine and replaced both seals and since then not had an issue.
Service manager said when I took mine in it was the third one that week.

They did mine while I waited, and it was only 15mins work. So I'm not sure what is thier issue. It is hardly any effort or expence for them.

Smile Screeching front wheels

As expected, I suffered this intermittent screeching noise from RH and occasionally LH wheels at 11k miles exactly as everyone described. Took my car back to Marshall Cambridge, workshop manager investigated and confirmed the front hub seals at fault. It seems the original seals had been fitted at a slight angle to the hub face causing noise when rubbing/catching on rotating part. Both seals were replaced without any hassle within a few hours. Very pleased with their response.
