I noticed in December 2010 the price had shot up to £241 per tyre (mytyres), and I felt smug that I had a good deal, £180' ish seems the going price at the moment, but if you can hold-out I'm sure the price will fall again towards the summer/autumn. Hope it helps

If you normally drive with no radio / cd etc playing, then you may notice a small change in noise level, but it will be very minor. The benefits of the WR G2 would easily outweigh any noise issue! As Truckbus has said, if you do not need the tyres right now, wait a bit and it is likely that prices will drop somewhat in a few months. I bought my Nokians when they were relatively cheap and put them on months later when I actually needed the new rubber! Last edited by DCO; Mar 31st, 2011 at 14:13. Reason: Additional text |

Just to close on my question as to the suitability of the new Nokian Entyre, I received the following response from their product manager today: "Nokian eNTYRE is good choice as an All Season product to Volvo XC90".
At 133 quid each fitted the Entyre offers a cheaper alternative but, given the recent advice on pricing, I will continue to shop around for the WR G2. Current tread permitting! |

Hi all, the tread of the XC90 need changing ASAP.
Its a 2010 XC90 EXEC with 255 50 19 (I think) I currently have Pirelli's on (from new) but I have heard that the Nokian or General Grabbers are to go for. What do you recommend and where can i get the best prices. I am based in North London\ Birmingham area (Home and Work). Suggestions are most welcome. |

I thought it was better to put up a general link as there are 3 different sizes fitted to the XC90. They have them for my car.

I ended up getting General GRABBER UHP 255/50R19 107 W XL, FR, BSW for £152 each from that site.
Is that a decent price, i see them getting a good write-up here? |

I have 18 inch wheels on my XC90 and none of the tyre websites are offering me Nokians or General Grabbers.
What are the best tyres for 18inch wheels? I have always used contis because they were OEM but I'm fed up with the uneven tyre wear. Tyre size for me is 235 60 18 I think Can see Nokian HT but not the WR2's or General grabbers that everyone seems to be recomending. Nokian WR2 seems to be 55 profile not 60 as per my car. Is that 5mm important? Last edited by a993lad; Apr 10th, 2011 at 12:47. |

The profile or aspect ratio is a percentage figure. For example, 235/55 means the profile is 55% of 235 millimetres. Weird, I know.
